Liverpool chief executive Peter Moore said he was determined to find a solution to problems with Tranmere’s Prenton Park, after Liverpool Women’s WSL game against Birmingham City was one of two league matches postponed due to unplayable pitches.
Moore, also chairman of Liverpool Women, said in a statement: “We had a solid pitch yesterday. But overnight rain saw it deteriorate. While these problems are not unique to us, we need to try to find a solution to provide our LFC Women with the surface they deserve.”
